Linkr 2.1 was released today, with many bug fixes and new features. The front end button has been enabled again and works flawlessly. Linkr's primary function is still to make linking articles a walk in the park, without having to mess with article IDs and Itemids. With Linkr 2.0, it was possible to link to menu items and contacts in addition to articles. Linkr 2.1 brings some improvements to the older features, and adds the ability to link PDFs, Word documents, and all kinds of files.
Here are some highlights of Linkr 2.1:
- Keep bookmarks and related article links from showing on frontpage (or not)
- Choose the order in which the bookmarks are displayed
- Edit {linkr:...} anchors by selecting them
- Link articles even if no section or category exist
- Link faster by coming back to the same page everytime the Linkr button is clicked
- Changed lightbox size to fit a 800x600 size screen
- XHTML compliance!
